1. How long does it take for a change of delivery address to take effect?

Please allow four to six weeks for your change of address to take effect.

2. When will I receive the first issue of my subscription?

For U.S. orders, please allow 6 to 8 weeks for your new subscription order to process.

For Canadian and International orders, please allow 8 to 12 weeks for your new subscription order to process.

3. Where can I find my account number?

You can locate your account number in several places.

On your mailing label: Your account number appears above your name and mailing address. Include all digits, including zeros, when entering your account number.

On your invoice: Your account number will also appear on invoices and renewal reminders.

Referring to your account number whenever you contact us will help us serve you better.

4. How can I get information about an invoice I received?

You can verify the order invoice and your account balance at the CUSTOMER DASHBOARD page. If there is an amount due on your account, a MAKE PAYMENT link will display. Click the link to make a payment online safely and securely. If you have additional questions about billing and payment procedures, please ask Customer Service by typing in your question at the CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICE page.

5. What should I do if my magazine arrives late or not at all?

Report your problem at the REPORT MISSING OR DAMAGED ISSUE page. Indicate the month (ie, September/October) of the issue that is late, damaged or missing and your concern with the issue.

6. I do not want my name or e-mail address made available to other companies. How can I make that known to Sky & Telescope?

Go to the UPDATE YOUR PRIVACY OPTIONS page and uncheck the box that says "Please contact me by mail and email with special offers from carefully selected third parties that I might enjoy."

7. What if I cannot find the answer that I am looking for? How do I report my problem to Customer Service?

Reporting your problem through the CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICE page is the fastest way to get your questions answered.

Type your inquiry in the box provided. Be sure to include detailed information about your account and problem so that Customer Service can best assist you.

8. Is ordering online safe?

Yes, it is safe to place orders and conduct bill payment transactions online. Sky & Telescope uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology for all online transaction. SSL encrypts your personal information such as name, address and credit card number in an effort to prevent unauthorized access of this information during the transmission of your online order. You will see a lockbox icon and "https" in the web address which indicates the site as being secure.

9. I created a password when I first subscribed to Sky & Telescope magazine. Why doesn't the login page recognize me?

When placing an order for a subscription to Sky & Telescope you are asked to provide a password for your Digital Subscription Access. This access is separate from the Sky & Telescope Subscriber Services access. You have a choice to use the same email address and password as your Digital Subscription Access when setting up a new Subscriber Services account.

If you've previously registered as a site user at, you're username and password may be different than your Subscriber Services and/or Digital Access login.

10. When I enter my email address and password into the ACCESS CURRENT DIGITAL ISSUE page and click "LOG IN" I get a message that says my username or password is not valid. What's going on?

If you did not create a password for Digital Subscription Access when you first subscribed, then the ACCESS CURRENT DIGITAL ISSUE page will not recognize you. To add digital access to your existing subscription at no extra charge, visit the RENEW / MANAGE YOUR SUBSCRIPTIONS page and click on the link "Add DIGITAL to your PRINT subscription, FREE!". You'll be asked to create a password. You may choose to use the same email address and password as your new Subscriber Services account.

11. I've decided Sky & Telescope magazine is not for me. How can I cancel my subscription?

If you are ever not 100% satisfied with your subscription, you may cancel at any time and receive a full refund for all unmailed issues. Send your request through the CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICE page.
